Terms and Conditions for Plumbing Services
Terms & Conditions
Please carefully review and acknowledge the following terms and conditions before our technician begins any plumbing work. By signing or accepting these terms, you agree to abide by the stipulations outlined herein.

Missed appointments can disrupt our schedule and inconvenience other customers who may be in need of our services. To ensure the smooth operation of our business and fair treatment of all customers, we have established the following policy regarding missed appointments: If a customer fails to notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling request prior to the Technician's arrival, a missed appointment fee of $75 will be applied.
This fee covers the cost of our plumber's time and any administrative expenses associated with the missed appointment. The missed appointment fee is waived if the appointment is cancelled and/or rescheduled prior to the Technician’s arrival.

Stoppages:
Unclog a sewer or drain back up inside or outside the home.
Service Limitation:
We offer sewer and drain unclogging services for situations that are reasonably accessible. It is essential that the location of the backup can be safely accessed by our team and falls within our service area. In cases where accessibility is limited or unsafe, we may not be able to provide our services.
Stuck Cables and Damaged Lines:
While we make every effort to complete the unclogging process without any issues, there is a possibility that cables used during the procedure can become stuck or lodged in the drains. We cannot be held responsible for any such occurrences. Additionally, if your drainage system has old damaged lines that may leak or rupture during the unclogging process, resulting in water damage or mold, we cannot be held liable for these damages.
Routine Maintenance and Cabling:
We believe that the typical drainage system can handle routine maintenance and cabling when an issue arises. However, it is important to note that unforeseen circumstances or pre-existing conditions in the drainage system may cause complications during the unclogging process. We exercise caution and employ our best practices to avoid such situations, but we cannot guarantee that they will not occur.
By engaging our plumbing services, you acknowledge and accept the above-stated limitations and release us from any liability arising from stuck cables, old damaged lines, water damage, mold, or any related issues that may occur during or after the unclogging process. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding this disclaimer.

Open Wall:
Open walls may be required to perform necessary plumbing repairs. Big Orange Plumbing cannot be held responsible for any asbestos testing or pre-existing mold or water damage in the affected area. We are not liable for patching sheetrock, but we will provide coverage using heavy plastic and tape. Our utmost effort will be made to contain moisture, and if the sheetrock is dry, we will spray dry areas. It is strongly advised that the hole be repaired promptly to ensure optimal conditions.

Mold Disclaimer:
This disclaimer serves to inform the homeowner about the importance of addressing mold issues before any plumbing work can be performed. Please read the following information carefully before proceeding:
1.) Mold Awareness: The homeowner acknowledges and understands that mold growth within a property can pose potential health risks and may cause damage to the structure, if not promptly addressed.
2.) Mold Assessment: Prior to commencing any plumbing work, it is strongly recommended that a professional mold assessment or inspection be conducted to identify the presence, extent, and type of mold growth within the property. This assessment should be performed by a qualified mold remediation specialist.
3.) Mold Remediation: In the event that mold is identified during the assessment, the homeowner agrees to promptly engage the services of a licensed and experienced mold remediation company to address the mold issues. The mold remediation process should include appropriate containment, removal, and cleaning of affected areas, as well as thorough drying and dehumidification, as necessary.
4.) Completion of Mold Remediation: The homeowner must provide evidence of completion of the mold remediation process by submitting a certification or documentation from the mold remediation company. This documentation should indicate that the mold issues have been resolved, and the property is deemed safe for further work.
5.) Plumbing Work Commencement: Only after the completion of the mold remediation process and submission of the appropriate documentation, the plumber will proceed with the agreed-upon plumbing work.
6.) Liability Limitation: The plumber shall not be held responsible for any damage, health issues, or further mold growth resulting from the failure to address or properly remediate any existing mold problem within the property.
7.) Professional Recommendations: The homeowner is advised to consult with qualified experts, such as mold remediation specialists or indoor air quality professionals, for specific advice and guidance on mold-related issues.
By signing and/or accepting, the homeowner acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with the above disclaimer regarding mold remediation prior to any plumbing work being performed.

Water Shut Off
Water Shut-Off Disclaimer for Plumbing Repairs
By authorizing the technician to perform plumbing repairs, the homeowner acknowledges and agrees to the following terms regarding the temporary shut-off of the water supply to the house:
Temporary Water Shut-Off: In order to complete the necessary plumbing repairs, the technician will need to temporarily shut off the water supply to the property. As a result, there will be no water available for use throughout the home during this period.
Duration of Water Shut-Off: The technician will make every effort to minimize the disruption and restore service as quickly as possible. However, the homeowner understands that the water shut-off may last for a period of time depending on the complexity of the repairs. The technician will provide an estimated time for completion.
Impact on Water Usage: The homeowner understands that during the shut-off, both hot and cold water will be unavailable, and there may be disruptions to water pressure upon restoration. It is the homeowner's responsibility to plan ahead and manage water usage during this time.
Secondary Damage or Debris: Upon restoring the water supply to the home, the technician will ensure that the system is functioning as expected. However, the homeowner understands and agrees that the technician is not responsible for any secondary damage, such as water leaks, water damage, or plumbing issues that may arise after the water is turned back on, unless directly related to the work performed. Additionally, the homeowner acknowledges that there may be debris in the lines—such as sediment, dirt, or mineral buildup—dislodged during the shut-off or restoration process. The technician is not responsible for any issues caused by this debris, including blockages or damage to plumbing fixtures or appliances, unless they are directly caused by the repairs being performed.
Restoration of Water Service: After completing the necessary plumbing repairs, the technician will restore the water supply to the property. While the technician will take reasonable steps to ensure the system is functioning properly, the homeowner acknowledges that issues such as pressure fluctuations, minor leaks, or debris in the lines may not be fully foreseeable and may not be the responsibility of the technician.
Homeowner Responsibility: The homeowner agrees to notify the technician of any known pre-existing conditions or concerns related to the plumbing system. The technician is not responsible for any existing issues or damage unrelated to the current service being performed.
Disclaimer: Valve Operation and Repair Responsibility
By agreeing to proceed with the proposed work, the client acknowledges that the existing valve is currently operational and is assumed to be functional for the purpose of shutting off water to complete necessary repairs. However, due to the age, condition, or unforeseen internal defects of the valve, there is a risk that it may fail during operation.
Should the valve fail or become inoperable during or after shutoff, any additional work required to repair or replace the valve will incur additional costs not included in the original estimate/work order. These costs will be discussed and approved before any further work is undertaken.

If wisetack or any third-party payer (including home warranty companies) fails to pay, the property owner/account holder remains responsible for the full balance.
Past due balances may incur late fees as permitted by law. Warranties apply only to accounts paid in full.
Additional work or repairs outside the original scope will be quoted separately.
Returned or reversed payments are subject to service fees and collection costs. Cash is accepted only with a signed receipt.
Accepted payments: credit/debit card, ACH/bank transfer, check, and approved digital payment.
Contractor may exercise mechanic’s lien rights in the event of non-payment.
